Student Life Groups

There are two very important ministries occurring within a small group. First is application. Pastor Josh and others who preach at Atmosphere cannot possibly bring individual application into the life of each student at Atmosphere, your group is there to help you apply the Bible to your life. Also, within a large church, the sense of community is lost, in a small group we can regain that community that we are called to as beleivers.

Jesus lived the importance of a small group. On any given day, Christ had nearly 5,000 people following Him around.
Out of those 5,000, seventy or so were called to be messengers, those who were given the power and authority to drive out demons, and heal the sick in the name of Christ. Out of that group there were the twelve. Twelve people to follow our Savior around closely. Only these twelve got close enough to hear what He was really saying in His parables and messages. Jesus had a community that He poured more than His teachings into, He poured His life into them.

Atmosphere Church is just like that. We are a small portion of the world of believers. But we don’t get the most out of what God is saying by just hearing a sermon every week. While there are times within the service that we have opened up to questions, it is not always an easy task to ask exactly what is on one’s mind while at the service.

So join a Student Life Group. Get involved. God’s Spirit will grow you through the Word and the relationships you build.
