Atmosphere U is the section of Atmosphere Church that is geared towards helping you through college. We hope to use this simply as a tool to guide your walk. Our blog cannot, and should never replace your fellowship with other Christians. So even if you’re away in college and listening to our podcasts, you still need a community of believers around you.
Here are a few other resources that we would encourage you to check out:
Blogs/Websites
Here are some great sites we have found helpful in dealing with issues of the world, post-modernism, and everything else that might come up at school:
- EveryStudent.com is a place where you can find answers to questions you might have about faith, God, life, and everything else. If we can’t answer a question, I’m sure they can. Either way, you should still let us know what’s on your mind.
- True U is the College ministry of The Truth Project. They strive to testify to the truth that is the Word of God and want His truth to live in your school.
- Don’t Stop Believing is a blog by Michael Wittmer (author of a book by the same name). He has great thoughts and reflections on how Christians should live and act.
- Kevin DeYoung also has a great heart and knowledge of the Scriptures. He is an author as well and strives to help people understand God and His Church well.
Great Books
In addition to those sites are these books that have been a great help in my thinking:
- How to Stay Christian in College
| J. Budziszewski (Jakob’s review)
- Think Biblically!
| John MacAurther
- Don’t Stop Believing: Why Living Like Jesus Is Not Enough
| Michael Wittmer
- Why We’re Not Emergent: By Two Guys Who Should Be
| Kevin DeYoung and Ted Kluck
- Why We Love the Church: In Praise of Institutions and Organized Religion
| Kevin DeYoung and Ted Kluck
- Do Hard Things
| Alex and Brett Harris
- A Mind for God
| James Emery White
- The Reason for God: Belief in an Age of Skepticism
| Timothy Keller
- True for You, But Not for Me: Overcoming Objections to Christian Faith
| Paul Copan
- University of Destruction
| David Wheaton (Jakob’s review)
We hope that these can be helpful to you in your studies. If you can’t get to any of the books, you should at least subscribe to the blogs, they are beneficial.
